Both projects were a collaboration between Cite, BNZ Project Manager Julia Vercoe and Jasmax Auckland and Wellington.

For both locations, Cite supplied the Vitra Medamorph table system for meeting rooms.

Panton Chairs and Basel Chairs were used throughout meeting rooms and Café/Atrium areas. Cite also supplied CMS soft wiring system for all power and data in meeting rooms. All meeting room tabletops were manufactured in New Zealand - making the ratio of NZ product to imported product approximately 50:50.

Performance Benefits

Feedback from staff at the new Harbour Quays Building in Wellington has been that they love their new environment so much they don't want to leave! This along with the open plan design of the new building will result in improved productivity, and greater collaboration between teams.

Sustainability

BNZ aims to be Carbon Neutral by 2010. Each of its three new buildings (Quay Park, Auckland; Harbour Quays, Wellington and 80 Queen Street, Auckland) has been awarded a 5-star Green Star Base Building Design by the NZGBC. The project also aims toward a 5-star Green Star Interior Fitout. To achieve this, BNZ specifically chose component-based furniture that could be reused or recycled at the end of its life.

Usability and Ergonomics

A team tested all chairs for comfort, durability, ease of cleaning and aesthetics. Pieces were chosen to stand the test of time and still look good in BNZ buildings for years to come.
